The Unique and Powerful world of Bollywood

The Ravi Report has been covering the prolific Indian film industry known as Bollywood for years and based on readers’ feedback and their deep curiosity about the fascinating world of Indian films, it only made sense to have a special category dedicated to such a interesting and fascinating industry and culture.

Bollywood has for decades, been one of the most fascinating film industries in the world comprised of immensely talented actors, award-winning films, stunning actresses and actors and the most intense song and dance dramas filled with emotion, drama and more drama!

The Indian film industry has over the last several decades, changed in the way films are being directed, produced, marketed and scripted. Scripts have become more edgy and globally appealing as foreign locations such as NY, LA, London and Australia have become common destinations for story lines. Subject matter that was almost unheard of years, has now been scripted into box office hits.

Intense pr, marketing and relentless social media promotion have also all become an intricate part of the Indian film industry and they all play a key role in how the films are perceived.

Bollywood films have transformed into high tech creative masterpieces often collaborating with Hollywood’s top production houses while top film studios like Fox Searchlight, Disney, Reliance and DreamWorks have all gotten in on the Bollywood game.

The global collaboration has also led to top Indian film stars hitting the Hollywood scene over the past few years with their enormous talents and great looks. A few top stars are now transitioning into mainstream American TV show and films. Bollywood A Lister Anil Kapoor has become a familiar face in Hollywood with his “24” series and now so has the stunning Priyanka Chopra.

The beautiful actress and former Ms. World 2000, Chopra has become the talk of Hollywood these days for her incredible talents as a singer, actress and producer.

Chopra 35, is the star of her own hit series ABC television drama Quantico, is a presenter at almost every single Hollywood awards show and is featured on the cover of leading mainstream magazines.

Chopra has  millions of  Twitter followers and another 18 million on Facebook and umpteen fan pages on social media.  She is the star of over 50 Indian films and is already one of the highest-paid and sought after actresses in Bollywood (when she is back in India).

In addition to her hit song with popular singer Pitbull, being the face of Guess and the voice behind NFL Thursday Night football, Chopra is now on her way (I personally think she already got there!) to becoming one of the most recognizable talents in the world. You will be hearing and seeing of a lot of Chopra in 2018 on The Ravi Report.

“I am busy because I love what I do and I am grateful that people appreciate my hard work and dedication to film, music and fashion,” the star stated recently to a massive clan of red carpet reporters in NY.

I first interviewed Chopra back in 2004 when she was an up and coming Bollywood star. She was as gracious as she was back then as she is today. Her sensational popularity, millions of followers & fans and global notoriety hasn’t changed her one bit as she keeps her feet well-grounded on the floor of humility.

So look for more exiting updates and news on this incredible versatile actress as well as the Bollywood industry in the coming months as The Ravi Report brings updates and news from one of the most amazing film industries in the world.

The journey continues…
