25 years ago on September 11, 2001 the world changed forever.

We all know what happened and we have never forgotten the day that New York was attacked by Muslim terrorists.

Never.

Sept 11, changed the lives of thousands of families who lost their loved ones in the attack. The pain of having to relieve that day for the families, even though it’s been 25 years, has been and will always be very emotional for them.

Honoring the victims on the 25th anniversary this year around the nation has given comfort and a voice to so many that wanted to share how life has been for them since the terrorist attack that changed their world forever. Many young adults who weren’t even born yet, have taken to social media to share what Sept. 11 means to them and are eager to learn more that tragic day.

The tributes have taken on a life of its own.

The wonderful organization, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, (T2T) started by Frank Stiller, was created in honor of his brother, NYC firefighter Stephen Siller who lost his life on September 11. T2T has grown into a world famous organization which provides mortgage-free homes to injured veterans, first responders, gold star and fallen first responders families to help them keep their current home or build them a new one. The foundation has become a blessing for thousands of families across the nation and has given hope, courage and inspiration to so many people around the world to do good in life. The 911 Memorial & Museum in NYC, created to honor the September 11 victims, first responders, rescue workers and survivors, has a new exhibition entitled “In Their Honor” highlighting 25 years of 9/11 inspired services, displaying personal items and relating first responder stories. The 25th anniversary will take place on Memorial Plaza by the museum and a special, annual in-person reading of the names of the victims will be read by family members.

The first moment of silence will be at 8:46am.

There will be special 25th anniversary memorials and services all over the country honoring the victims, their families and first responders.

But the one question that many Americans keep asking, is are we safer as a nation 25 years after the horrific terrorist attack on September 11, 2001?

The Ravi Report spoke to several people recently near Ground Zero in New York City and they said they do feel safer now and are more apt to report to the authorities any suspicious activities or incidents regarding terrorism then they would have before. Others said that in 25 years, the country finally has closed US borders and with modern technology and the current Trump Administration cracking down on undocumented criminals and terrorists and having tighter immigration laws, they feel much safer then they did 25 years ago. Many of the younger people that were asked (who weren’t even born yet when 9/11 happened) said that the power of social media and every phone having a camera, makes it easier for people today to report anything suspicious with instant images and recordings.

No matter where you are, or what you are doing, please have a moment of silence or light a candle in honor of the victims, their families and first responders on the 25th anniversary of September 11.
