The world woke up to the shocking news on July 11th that the much loved and patriotic US sitting Senator from South Carolina, Lindsay Graham had passed.

Graham was only 71 years old.

The cause of death based on reports released, stated that Graham had passed of aortic dissection often caused by arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease.

People thought it was fake news at first.

Graham had just celebrated his birthday a few days earlier with his family and close friends and recently returned from a grueling trip to Ukraine.

Having spent almost three decades in Congress, the much loved Senator and former Air Force lawyer, has had one of the most rewarding careers in the United States government serving in the US Senate since 2002 with his final time showing a great deal of support for President Trump.

From his humble beginnings to becoming a top lawyer and eventually a well-respected and high ranking South Carolina Senator, Graham’s life story is of courage, determination and patriotism.

Most people may not know that Senator Graham had taken on the role of parent and became the legal guardian of his sister when she was just 13 years old after the Senator’s parents passed. Graham’s father Florence James Graham died of a heart attack just fifteen months after his mother Millie Graham died of cancer in 1976.

Graham’s sister, Darline Graham Nordone was recently appointed by South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster to fill her brother’s Senator seat and has recently announced that she will officially run to keep her late brother’s seat. Many media critics and associates are saying she will do an excellent job if she wins in November.

Tributes from across the spectrum are coming in to honor Graham. From the global media, to co-workers to friends and long time Senate members, the South Carolina Senator was much loved and respected all over the world.

He will be greatly missed.

The US Senator Lindsay Graham Memorial Service will be held on July 28 in Washington, DC and in South Carolina July 29.
