Happy Birthday America!
The greatest and highly respected country in the world is turning 250 on July 4th and millions of people across the nation are gearing up to honor and celebrate their freedom, independence and patriotic love for the wonderful United States of America.
With so many great ideas on how to celebrate America’s birthday out there, readers of The Ravi Report sent in to the editorial team some excellent suggestions to honor the country’s birthday. So, (drum role please!) here are some great suggestions to help celebrate America 250!
Honoring & Celebrating America 250
The White House Historical Association in collaboration with America 250, has produced special celebratory ornaments to welcome America’s birthday. These beautiful ornaments crafted in the USA, are the perfect way to honor the legacy of America all year long and for generations to come. Many readers and personal friends have already purchased the ornaments and have said they are perfect keepsakes and gifts for the holidays. Some of the styles include the Declaration of Independence and America250 Eagle of Freedom Over America. The patriotic designs and photos are done by the brilliant photographer Jesse Synder, for The White House Historical Association. Get them before they are all gone because they are selling fast!

The Eagle of Freedom ornament is a tribute to national pride and heritage. The front showcases the United States draped in the American flag, with a bald eagle soaring overhead representing powerful symbols of freedom and unity that define our nation. The reverse displays the silhouettes of all fifty states alongside the A250 commemorative logo, with “Made in USA” displayed. Each ornament is individually boxed with a commemorative gold seal.

The front of the ornament features the Declaration of Independence, adopted by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776. The reproduction of the document is surrounded by a gold frame and embellished with elements from the Great Seal of the United States including the bald eagle, striped shield, arrows of war, and olive branch of peace. The back of the ornament depicts the North Front of the White House with two flagsthe early Stars and Stripes thirteen-star flag and the fifty-star flag that remains in use today. Celebrating America’s 250th birthday would be the perfect opportunity to understand how and when the America became independent from Great Britain. The most influential and powerful document in American history, the Declaration of Independence , the historical document signed in 1776, is the backbone of the way the United States is governed and summarizes the core philosophical structure of the American government. The National Archives Museum in Washington D.C. has the original documents on full display for public viewing where thousands of visitors have already been viewing the documents in this celebratory year.
And one important patriotic verse that should be recited during the celebrations is one of the most important verses that everyone living in America needs to know and say whenever possible:
“I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.”
Originally written by Francis Bellamy in 1892. “under God” was added by President Dwight D. Eisenhower on Flag Day in 1954.
